Road Scholars had the great pleasure last week to host six-time Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx. Jacky and his wife, Khadja, joined us for an evening soiree. Jacky regaled us with several stories about his racing days, his experience working for Enzo Ferrari, and wisdom gained from many laps around the track.

Jeff Zwart, eight-time Pikes Peak Hill Climb champion, joined Jacky on the podium. Jeff announced his upcoming run at Pikes Peak in a new Porsche 935, sponsored by Road Scholars and the Ingram Collection. Road Scholars will be at the Peak to watch Jeff make this historic run.

The following morning Jacky joined us for a rally on the backroads to Saxapahaw, where we enjoyed lunch by the river. An ice cream run to Maple View Farm capped a day of great driving with great people.
