The 1968 model year’s revision of the 911 was known within Porsche as the “A” series. Following the tradition that continues today, the car saw many small improvements over its immediate predecessor; in this case, many of them were designed to comply with safety and emission regulations. Those regulations prevented the 911S model from reaching these shores. In its place was the one year only 911L, which was essentially as S without the “peaky” engine.
This numbers matching Champagne Yellow (paint to sample) 911 has lived a charmed life and has only covered 28,433 miles with only five owners. Â It was delivered brand new through Klein Foreman Motors in Van Nuys, California.
