In classic Guards Red over Tan this wide-bodied Speedster is a nice fit for that late model Speedster collection.  With only 2600 on the odometer over 30 years, the Speedster has been a well-kept and maintained example. Accident free the paint remains in great shape as you would expect, and the interior showing very little signs of wear you typically see. Not our top choice to race your buddies, but a great Speedster candidate for that open two-seater 911 experience.  

Soon after taking over as CEO post Ernst Fuhrmann in ’81, Peter Schutz called Helmuth Bott into his Weissach office (Bott most known for his involvement with the 959).  Their discussion a dream car of Bott’s, he recalling his early years beginning as a factory assistant in Zuffenhausen in the early ‘50s. It took 8 years to come to fruition, but resurrecting the Speedster badge on a 911 for the first time.  A celebration 30 years later of the iconic two-seater sporting its lower less degreed windscreen, and most notably the fiberglass tonneau cover resembling the previous 356 Speedsters from 1958/59. The ’89 Speedster gained from years of technology and innovation, but kept its namesake and sprung from the same philosophy.  The core belief that the car be an extension of the driver, and the driving experience be top priority.
