The America Roadster was a limited series built to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Porsche’s epochal first purpose-built competition production-based car, the 1952 America Roadster.

Porsche would only build 250 units over two years (1992 & 1993).

What made the America Roadster so unique was incorporating the “Turbo” wide body with a normally aspirated power plant. Mechanically it was the same as the standard Carrera 911 apart from 17″ cup wheels and the brakes and suspension which were ‘Turbo’ specification.

This is the famous Charles Hunter American Roadster. It was ordered in this striking and paint to sample color combination of Linen Gray and Cobalt Blue interior. This America Roadster was famously concours prepped and won the Manhattan Trophy for Best-in-Show at the 1993 Porsche Parade in Cincinnati.

It has had four owners from new and has only covered 21,000 miles since new. It represents a modern classic that is a joy to drive for any Porschephile.
